The bidirectional thrust ball bearing is composed of three ferrules and two cages with balls. If it is a two-way type, the shaft ring is clamped by two cages equipped with balls.

Single direction thrust ball bearings:
consist of two washers with raceways and balls guided b a cage. Washers have flat seating surfaces, and that is why they must be supported so that all balls can be evenly loaded. Bearings carry the axial load only in one direction. They are not able to carry radial forces.
Micro-plane thrust ball bearings are separable bearings with a contact Angle of 90. They can be mounted separately and can only withstand axial loads. The limit speed of the micro unidirectional thrust bearing is low, and the steel ball is squeezed to the outside of the raceway by centrifugal force, which is easy to scratch, but not suitable for high speed operation.Unidirectional thrust bearing can bear unidirectional axial load,and bidirectional bearing can bear bidirectional axial load.
